Paranoid Park is out--new book in works (september 19, 2006)


So PARANOID comes out in two days. Very exciting. But weird. I always feel a strange sense of helplessness as books come out. It's like, they're on their own now. Nothing more you can do. Meanwhile I am working on a new book I like a lot. I won't try to describe it too much. But it's something new and fresh, at least for me. One thing I learned from PARANOID, try to find subjects or situations that really get you riled up. I think I found one. And I love this character. It's a guy, as per usual, lately, but this guy is one of those ANDREA MARR type character, (GIRL 1994) where they are interesting all by themselves. Like everything they do is pretty funny or engaging in some way. Anyway if you're reading this you hopefully know about PARANOID PARK, and he movie thing, I hope you get a chance to check it out.
