PROM ANONYMOUS and GENDER BLENDER both released in March.
In an unparalleled event in Blake's career, he had two books that came out in March 2006. It's Blake Nelson fever!
PROM ANONYMOUS (March 2) is the story of three old friends (girls) going to the prom. One's artsy, one's a jock, and one's a priss. Naturally the artsy one doesn't even want to go, but it's too late now, she's committed! If you have ever been to a prom, a wedding, a funeral, a graduation, a recital or anything where you had to wear a fancy dress and show up with your nails done and your shoes on and your brain half intact, you will love this book!
GENDER BLENDER (March 28) is about two sixth graders, Tom and Emma, who switch bodies. OH. MY. GOD. Can you imagine suddenly being in the body of the opposite sex? That would be so frickin' weird! But the book is hilariously funny. Really. Blake will bet you fifty bucks he can make you laugh reading the part where poor Emma experiences her first "morning wood". He reads it, you laugh, he gets fifty bucks. What a deal!
Check out the Publisher's Weekly interview, where Blake talks about both books.

PARANOID PARK Release Date Set
The release date for Blake's new novel PARANOID PARK is set for September 21, 2006. Check out the brilliant artwork for the cover (above).
Paranoid Park is the story of a high school skater kid who gets in a fight with a security guard and accidentally kills him. Should he tell someone? Should he turn himself in? That seems like the obvious thing to do, but as he considers his options and events begin to unfold he is not so sure. Maybe he should just keep his mouth shut. But as he finds out, trying to live the life of an average teen when you're carrying an awful secret is not as easy as it seems.
